I came home after a particularly trying day and was pleasantly surprised to find an episode of Bob Ross on TV. Bob told me that there are no mistakes, only happy accidents, and made me smile with his stories of 'happy little trees' that live rrriiiigghhhttt over there. Just when you think the painting is done - BAM! - he boldly adds another tree or bush, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. My bad mood disappeared by the end of the episode.
Due to the calming effects of Bob Ross, it is now my life goal to buy a Bob Ross Master Painting Set and paint my very own Bob Ross mountain scene! I think once I have achieved this goal, I will have reached what Maslow called 'self-actualization.'
God bless!

I certainly hope you've listened to the Khaki Snack song "Van Dyke Brown". It deals with very similar themes. The parallels are striking.
Bob Ross you are a really good painter
So much better than me
And the one thing you always said about your life
Is that no matter what you do you should always be happy
Chorus:
And you use a little Van Dyke Brown
A little Van Dyke Brown
A little bit of midnight black
And some more Van Dyke Brown
You'll hide a happy bush right
Down there in the bottom
Bob Ross you make a pretty nice mountain
You have a son that you call "Rascal"
Even though he's six-foot-four
And he would affectionately call you "Shorty"
And he's becoming such a good painter
You said he's just becoming such a fuckin' great painter
Chorus:
And you use a little Van Dyke Brown
A little Van Dyke Brown
A little bit of midnight black
And some more Van Dyke Brown
You'll hide a happy bush right
Down there in the bottom
Bob Ross you make a pretty nice mountain
And happy clouds
Listen here.
You're welcome.
