Two of my personalities have anxiety over not being recognized as unique...who am I to argue with them?
Really, there may be times where people rush to call any particular behavior a disorder. Though to not recognize and tell them what it is, is to do a disservice to the person in my opinion. In some situations you may need to tread lightly because as you've said before, people can be hypersensitive to certain things, to not be straight up with them only reinforces their ignorance.
It's because people are narcissistic little bitches.
That's why.
I am still laughing at "Snowflake Children".
